What is better than leaving your local trails behind and venturing somewhere new? Well, I think I found it on a recent trip to Chamonix in the French Alps.

I spent a week with some friends exploring the vast reigon and what it had to offer; mountain biking, hiking, walking, glacier walks, terrifying glacier walks and an abundance of outdoor based options.

Chamonix sits at 1000m above sea level in the vast shadow of Mont Blanc which towers at over 4810m above. in the summer months, the surrounding mountains sub 2500m offer some great mountain biking routes and even at higher altitude some great  routes are available.
