The
Tour of Britain kicks off
or should that be Pedals off on the 7th September from its starting stage in London. The event,
which is broken up into 8 stages covers different areas of Britian on each stage.
While the event is nowhere near as extensive as the Tour de France, after Team GB's successes in Beijing, there
can be no doubting that more people than ever will be out to support the riders
as they travel the country.
However, are we missing a trick? With Team GB's successes and the effects of soaring
fuel and motoring costs there is the opportunity to capitalise on cycling in the
UK, what better place to start than with the Tour of Britain.
